Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 cup beef broth
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
Directions
1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat until it’s no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
2. Transfer the browned beef to your crockpot. Add in the diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic.
3. Pour in the kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, beef broth, and tomato sauce. Stir everything together well.
4. Set your crockpot on low and let it cook for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours.
5. Before serving, give it a good stir and taste. Adjust seasoning if needed.
6. Ladle into bowls and enjoy your hearty chili topped with your favorite garnishes!
